Pros

I worked on a 5-star property, so employees were well taken care of. There seemed to be a good interest in morale. I received paid breaks, and the free employee dining was nice. They clearly want to keep their workers for the long haul.

Cons

Not a ton of opportunity for upward mobility. Things got boring doing the same tasks every day.

Advice to Management

Focus more on promoting from within.

    Pros

The size of the company and it's position in the Las Vegas resort industry. They plenty of vision and ambition.

    Cons

The executives treat the properties as if it was their playground and not a business. They talk a good game about communication and inclusiveness, however it seems like lip service.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on guest satisfaction than partying with high rollers.

  2. Poor IT Ops Management

    Pros

Great new office location off 215 and Decatur.

    Cons

They hire a lot of contractors and suddenly just drop them without warning whatsoever--with no concern or consideration for the individual.

    Advice to Management

Need to clearly define roles/responsibilities between their IT and their third-party resources and not wait for the latter to mess up so MGMRI can walk away freely from their contracts.
