Former Intern - UROP in Cambridge, MA

I worked at MIT as an intern (more than a year)

Pros

You have access to the best in terms of mentorship and technology. You get to work on cutting edge projects or cutting edge theory, whichever strikes your fancy. You are limited by your own abilities.

Cons

Sometimes the workload is unreasonably high, and requires you to give up certain aspects of your personal life. Also, the university is not very holistic in its approach to education.
