Great experience- Intern

I worked at MTV Networks

Pros

Friendly/laid back environment, learned a lot, met some great mentors.

Cons

Sometimes there wasn't a lot to do and I wound up surfing the internet at my desk. Also, this internship was unpaid.

    I worked at MTV Networks

    Pros

Had good ideas -how to treat employees, for the business, etc.

    Cons

Totally missed the boat when it came to follow through. Trying to compete in the online market but was definitely too bogged down in corporate layers to be nimble enough to compete. Lots of nepotism - hiring spouses, cousins - and bad hires.

I worked at MTV Networks as a contractor

    Pros

Great salary even though I was over worked.

    Cons

Bosses are tied to corporate rules and decisions. "Creativity" is a very shallow and thinking out of the box leads to nothing. Dollar is the bottom line.
