I worked at MTV Networks

Pros

Creative hip atmosphere, lots of young people, possibility of running into celebrities and getting the first look into new media content, chances to participate in projects

Cons

High turn-over rate, job security is somewhat unstable, hard to get hired full-time (usually easier to get hired for free-lance projects)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

More stability and regiments, otherwise good job on work and life balance, diversity inclusion, and training programs (very large internship program)

    Pros

Very cool place to work; fast-paced and fun! Great people, good working conditions (love the "cafeteria") and great management team.

    Cons

Has had financial problems lately, like everyone, and layoffs continue. no rhyme or reason as to who gets laid off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

better planning will keep the company growing.

    Pros

creativity is encouraged...some high level management are a DREAM to work for, opportunity to do everything. Freelance is well compensated. Amazing place to build resume.

    Cons

barely anyone is staff. Benefits for freelancers is going in the toilet. If you don't know w manager well, it's tough to get in on projects. People who should have left LONG ago are still in positions of authority. They treat the freelancers like second hand citizens

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Staff people, it's cheaper
