Current Employee – been working at Macy's part-time

Pros – Depending on the section you're in, the managers don't hover over you and let you work according to your personality. The employees are very mixed in age, which keeps the atmosphere pretty lively. I'm on the younger end and I have never felt like I couldn't ask my older co-worker a question.

Cons – Some managers thus micro-manage, which can create a negative atmosphere -- depending on your section. Those who work commission can be rather cutthroat in getting customers and it can sometimes be awkward for both the non-commission employees *and* the customers.

Advice to Senior Management – To some of you, calm down -- we're selling clothes, not saving lives.
