“Great for the community, bad for the employee”
Current Employee – been working at Macy's full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Macy's is a huge supporter of charities, both local and national. What they do for the community is simply outstanding.
Cons – Poor top-down communication with associates, little to no opportunities for advancement, favoritism
Advice to Senior Management – Don't offer positions to employees looking to advance when they (the position offered) don't even exist.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
