I have been working at Macy's part-time for less than a year

Pros

a lot of the managers are nice, just do what you have to at work and you will have no problems

Cons

Its retail so customers are always going to be rude at times, retail jobs are extremely boring

Advice to ManagementAdvice

have a better hiring process, Stop having people wait 10 weeks before they know if they are hired or not. People don't want to wait 3 weeks for interview process and then another 2 weeks just to know if they have the job. Also I was told i would have a second interview but never got a call back, i called back every other day and still got the same run around.

    Pros

The more experienced employees know everything you'll want to know, more than the management.

    Cons

The less experienced employees, which is commonly management, won't know know ???? from shinola and the ratio is at least 1:10.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Run!
The management has slimmed way down when they became Mac'y from the Bon Marche and my advice to management would be to leave, this company will treat you like a slave.
