Pros

Employee discount is decent, although all purchases must be made on a Macy's Card. Ability to view schedule and sales #s from home.

Cons

I had no problem learning how to perform the basic operations on the registers, but my manager started me on a Sunday without telling me what area I was working in. Turns out that I had no business even working in that department. NO product training prior to being tossed on the floor. Selling credit is a MUST. Every commissioned and non-commissioned sales employee is tracked on how much they run through the register.

Breaks are promised, but hard to deliver. Manager are hard to find and all they care about is numbers.

Advice to Senior Management

Pay your hourly associates a little better. I made more money as a cashier at Sam's Club than I did at Macy's with less responsibility.
