I worked at Madd full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

MADD's mission is one just about anyone can get behind. To stop drunk driving and educate parents and teens on the effects of underage drinking. There are great programs and opportunities to get experience educating others in this organization, whether you work for the National group or an affiliate. There is opportunity for flexible work scheduling, which is a plus.

    Cons

As a non-profit, pay is on the low end, and sometimes in the affiliate offices, things are run a little slip shod. It really depends on the Executive Director and the location.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

National should ensure that Executive Directors and leaders at their affiliate offices are well trained. Affiliate offices leaders should ensure that new employees and existing employees are kept up to date on training as well. Communication lines should be kept open between leadership and staff. Sometimes employees are promoted without additional training in supervision, and this can sometimes lead to issues.

I worked at Madd as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

Although this position was an internship, the opportunity for extensive legal training was offered to help better serve clients that were victims of drunken drivers and rendered opportunities for exposure with multiple agencies that are affilliates of the company.

    Cons

One of the greatest challenges of the position procreated through maintaining contact for short notices of all parties to appear in court.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice shared with upper management was aiding victims of drunken drivers with replacing lost contents and development for future goals of fund raising projects.
