Pros
Smart technical people, great benefits, good pay. Interesting problems to deal with, nice working environment. Overall, the human aspect of working there is pretty good.
Cons
Upper management leading the company in the wrong direction. Lots of resources wasted on ambitious projects with no immediate business sense, while reliable money-making projects get cut. In some business units, too much nepotism in hiring practices.
Advice to Senior Management
Decide on the money-making priorities, then protect and enhance those. Cut everything that doesn't make money or have strategic value. Try hard to retain people valuable for what they get done, not who they know.
