I worked at Magnum Semiconductor full-time

    Pros

Challenging technical work, good benefits, opportunities for increased responsibility/advancement, strong/friendly technical team, flexible work environment. I'd recommend working here with the caveats described below.

    Cons

High turnover in some offices; scheduling issues: frequently need to reimplement keys software components because the schedules didn't allow time to implement things properly, business planning done without sufficient effort estimation from engineering

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get product out the door quicker by either hiring more developers or scaling down the feature list for each release. Continue investing development effort on a scalable software architecture which requires less effort to develop future products (i.e. minimize reinventing the wheel on each release). Listen to feedback from the engineering team regarding schedules. Take the time to learn from past mistakes.

To remain a leader (to give confidence to customers and employees), invest as much as possible in newer technologies for products 2-5 years in the future.
