I worked at Major League Soccer

Pros

The ability to work with a professional sports team with enormous potential is incredible. The perks are enormous as you are encouraged to show your support for the team on game days and throughout the week.

Cons

--salaries are low (but truly all salaries in pro sports are lower than one might expect)
--a lot of the business has to do with how the team does performance-wise so things can fluctuate from year to year

Advice to ManagementAdvice

--accessibility to the players could really get fans more into the games and cheer for their favorite players (basically to help fan retention)

    Pros

Playing professional sports for any league is great. The offseason is long enough to be enjoyed with a good vacation.

    Cons

The pay. The organization of the league as a whole. Little control for the players. The schedule is not aligned with the FIFA schedule.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring in consultants from successful professional soccer leagues in Europe. Increase the salary cap so great American talent can be retained.

Great working environment but don't expect to get hired if you plan on interning.

I worked at Major League Soccer

    Pros

Young staff, great working environment. If you want to gain experience working in sports good place to get your feet wet.

    Cons

Interns work full-time and get paid absolute crap. Don't expect to get hired unless you put in a good two years of interning, if that. Don't get your hopes up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management should be more honest with interns from the start. Don't lead interns on.
