Pros

Manhattan pays near the higher side of the industry, and most of the people working for the company are friendly and easy going.

Cons

There is a culture of finger pointing that is created by upper management. On numerous occasions I have seen upper management make poor decisions, and then blame them on the employee who was directed to carry them out. Multiple employees have been let go in this manner.

Advice to Management

Part of being a leader is building the confidence and trust of your employees. If you don't have this, you'll never have anything. Holster the finger and lead with integrity.

    Pros

It is a steady reliable job, you stay busy, benefits, PTO & Holidays.

    Cons

Hard to get a raise, Hard for a girl to move up in this company. Man-based construction job. Hard to move up the career ladder.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people for the hard work they do, and observe to see who really is getting the work done and give some complaints, give some acknowledgement and appreciate. You pay more money to people who don't know what they are doing and give more to people who do nothing.

    Pros

Work with qualified persons on extraordinary projects

    Cons

Promoting from within is always talked about but never implemented. Finger pointing is common toward lower level employees who only carry out direct orders.

    Advice to Management

You hired a talent manager, so listen to his advice. Put more emphasis on evaluating field employees. You have plenty of skilled employees stuck behind their superiors who are in the good ole boy network.
