Pros

Manhattan pays near the higher side of the industry, and most of the people working for the company are friendly and easy going.

Cons

There is a culture of finger pointing that is created by upper management. On numerous occasions I have seen upper management make poor decisions, and then blame them on the employee who was directed to carry them out. Multiple employees have been let go in this manner.

Advice to Management

Part of being a leader is building the confidence and trust of your employees. If you don't have this, you'll never have anything. Holster the finger and lead with integrity.

    Pros

Diverse projects, good people to work with, believe in educating young employees, Fair pay and expectations.

    Cons

Can find politics, within office, between offices. Tunnel vision as to products to go for, not very flexible in thought or processes. Atlanta office started by stubborn leaders from a Skanska purchase, offended most powers to be in MCC and MCC Corporate. Laid ground work to close Atlanta office when Corporate did a shake-up.

    Advice to Management

    Don't take yourself so serious.

    Pros

High profile projects that expose employees to a wide range of opportunities for success (or failure). Some really good, upstanding people work here.

    Cons

Unfortunately, some really bad people work here too. Senior managers bully and degrade their employees in an attempt to get them to perform. Information is not shared between groups or internal teams. There is infighting and rampant gossip. It is more like a high school, rather than a professional business. Very disappointed. Leaving this company was the best choice I've made so far in my lifetime.

    Advice to Management

Train senior management how to respect and lead their employees. Harassment and bullying should not be tolerated anymore. Teaching someone how you want them to do their job is good for the company, not bad. It's not something that should be feared.
