I worked at Manpower as a contractor for more than a year

Pros

It's a job. Also, they are flexible when it comes to scheduling.

Cons

High-stress environment, benefits are a joke, no paid time off, the metrics to qualify for any bonuses are unattainable unless you work a ton of OT, no room for growth, management doesn't know what they are doing half the time.

I have been working at Manpower full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Work/Life Balance in some departments is okay, in others it doesn't exist.

    Cons

This company is severly struggling financially. They have just laid off 40+ people and this isn't the first time - it's a revolving door. Poor leadership, lack of direction and bad financial decisions abound. For a staffing/HR company, their onboarding is horrendous

I worked at Manpower as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

the paycheck is ontime, staff in office is friendly when you can get in touch with them.

    Cons

lack of communication on the part of placement agency office. They fail to communicate up front to employee when placing them on a contracted assignment at times. If the assignment is only for a specific time employee is unaware they will never ever be able to work at the customer's location again, due to specs buried in the contract, even if they excelled and received rewards. They hide themselves in the back and a very small front entrance .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be up front and let the empoloyee see the contract so they go in with their eyes wide open or be open to them so they know what they are getting into. Times are hard and people are willing to take just about anything to be able to pay their bills and put food on their table.
