Awful experience, Abusive employment practices

Attorney (Former Employee)

ProsHigh Salary and Great deal of experience for beginners. They will allow you to go to court with very little training or prior experience.

ConsYour travel will be remarkably high. They make immigration attorneys travel to all of the jails on a moment's notice, and many of them are several hours away. You are given your assignments at the beginning of a week, so whether it's court or something else, you have a maximum of a week to prepare. Everyone is an at-will employee, whether you are an attorney or a staff. If you are a staff member, you will also be signing a non-compete agreement, so you cannot work in a law firm in the vicinity. This is especially bad considering the very high turnover.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe law firm would be better managed as a traditional law firm where the attorneys have their own list of cases. More control would help control the turnover.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
