I worked at Manulife Financial

Pros

Training was thorough, a great background for any Benefit related position

Cons

Internal Chaos with so many mergers, there's a huge need to reconstruct and align the systems
Management can't keep Front end CSR's. My training group had 11 people, and after 3 months, only 5 were left. Turnover was horrible.
Absenteeism was also horrible. Every Monday, at least a dozen people would be "sick" since it was the busiest day.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove the 12 months in the same position rule. If it would've been 6 months, I would still be working with your company.

    I worked at Manulife Financial

    Pros

Job is easy and environment is a little bit relaxable , it is good for people who has family and would like to spend more time with family or other stuffs.

    Cons

it is a little bit too slow and is not a good place for learning, Money paid is not as good as other comparable peers in financial district. but in term of relaxation and money it pays, it is a very good place for people who like to spend time on other stuffs. However the comment is for financial job, not for actuarial job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The system seems only work well for actuaries, but people work on financial job are a little ignored and forgotten. Hope there is an equal treatment for financial background people
