Pros

Opportunities to meet people in management positions. Experience presenting. Manulife hires many co-op students, so the community is large and inviting.

Cons

Similar to many co-op position, there are many times when the work is not challenging - you must seek more work on your own.

Advice to Management

Continue to provide co-op students positions at Maulife. Simply ensure that the quantity and quality of the work is high enough.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Some ability to work from home if management permits it

Some managers do actually care about their staff, but they are few and far between

    Cons

Salaries are lower than comparable companies in the area

Focus is on politics between departments, not in how to work together

Emphasis is on how to not spend money which leads to staff not having the tools they need to do their jobs

For an insurance company, the benefits are barely acceptable

    Advice to Management

Please review the "Peter Principle" and stop putting people into roles that they are not suited for

Listen to the staff when they have complaints
