With the amount of talented people at the company, you have to work very hard to stand out.

    I worked at Marathon Oil

    Pros

Marathon Oil prides themselves in having a pervasive open door policy. Every manager, whether or not you are in their team, will always be willing to lend you a listening ear.

    Cons

Most of the employees at Marathon are conservative. If one is very liberal, one has to be careful in carrying them self.

    I worked at Marathon Oil

    Pros

Opportunities to learn. However the opportunities depend on who you work for.

    Cons

Your career path is out of your control. Quality work not necessarily rewarded. Very political with old guard.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees, not the management that reports to you every day. You may find the truth.
