Pros

Good place to launch a career and build connections. Good experience working with other people and ability to develop sales skills.

Cons

Need to reward employees who work hard, not just the VPs who sit at the top.
Dress code. Who still needs to wear a tie when you're sitting behind a desk doing most of your work talking to people on the phone?

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward your employees or they will walk.

    Pros

If you are entrepreneurial and have the resources to go without a paycheck for at least a year, the opportunity to build a successful business within the platform is very good. There is no ceiling on your earnings potential and the training is better than average.

    Cons

Management is poorly trained and takes a revolving door approach to bringing in new talent. As a result, they have a boiler room image of quantity (lots of agents making lots of calls to the same owners in the market) over quality (taking the time to develop good agents into greatness and creating quality relationships with owners in the market). Although you are an independent contractor, you'd better be making 250 cold calls a week and bringing in business or your gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire less agents, give them a set territory and grow their skills to develop quality client relationships. Also, stop hiring unqualified regional managers who had a few good years as agents. A good agent does not necessarily make a good manager.

The leadership of the Regional Manager and Senior Executives is strong. More investor symposiums would be nice to get our clients in a room together.
