Pros

Excellent part time opportunity including full health, dental, and vision benefits. Management is very flexible and understanding of work and personal issues.

Cons

Not an official employee of T-mobile, thereby lacking full perks and also authority that a T-mobile employee would have. Entering call reports at night becomes tedious.

Advice to Management

Focus on training. Seem as if both Marketsource and T-mobile need to better prepare the Event Representatives for issues that occur in the field.

    Pros

You get to work as a member of a team in retail stores and deal with diverse customers. You aren't bound by the rules and regs of the stores and their managers (much). There's great independence, and there's almost an entrepreneurial sense, because you are expected to "own your store". You hardly ever see your own manager, so there is great trust and responsibility. You generally get respect from the retail sales team, who you get to teach, train, and answer questions for. There is great online training. It gives a pretty good hourly wage. It's a great job for students because it's basically weekends only, with great scheduling flexibility.

    Cons

If you're looking for a full-time (or even a 20-30 hour per week) job, look somewhere else. You won't be working more than about 10-13 hours per week for at least a year, after which you might--just might--get a few more hours. The management is very hands-off. You won't see your boss except once or twice a quarter. You may or may not think of that as a con (I actually like it, but I have an independent streak). Some of the administrative stuff (filing reports, etc) can be a hassle. There isn't much room for promotion.

    Advice to Management

More hours, better opportunities for horizontal and vertical advancement, and commissions on each product (not just the occasional sales competitions) would be great.
