Pros

great training and probably the best in hospitality; help you to see from a macro perspective; great leadership 3 years ago; a sense of team spirit; great at allowing job transfers, changes.

Cons

now with all of the changes within the sales environment, where to begin? - capped on bonuses so where is the motivation? - only company I've ever worked for where the minimum work week is at LEAST 50 hours or more - expectation is being available 24/7, no excuses - no work/life balance anymore etc

Advice to Management

stop cutting back your sales people; stop putting caps on sales bonuses and demotivating everyone in the field and telling everyone "its better for the customer" because when you're losing marketshare, it's really NOT better for the customer and it's all about cost containment

    Pros

    being around people, connection opp.,growth opp.,enjoyment of luxury discounts, ect.

    Cons

    your co-workers wont be your "friends" although they pretented to be!!! OBVIOUS that they do not like new employees.They were conniving and demoral. WARNING: GIRLS*Expecially **will lie and try to get you in trouble, so beware and stay on your toes..Your a threat to them.. SO SAD! Not a good source for friends.

    Advice to Management

    Get the whole story before making permanent decisions. HARASSMENT!

    Pros

    Marriott's philosophy of "Take care of your associates and they will take care of your customers" is an excellent one. They have taken good care of me - in return for working hard, I've been compensated fairly and given a positive and supportive environment in which to work.

    Cons

    As is normal in the hospitality industry, some long hours including nights and weekends. This comes with the territory. Additionally, some of the computer systems are very dated.

    Advice to Management

    Upgrade computer systems. Using a DOS based system in 2013 is unacceptable
