Former Employee - Front Office Supervisor in Phoenix, AZ

I worked at Marriott full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Very, very professional. Policies and procedures followed in detail. You will become an expert at Customer Service (The best of the best).

Cons

Pay is terrible (The amount of work and responsibility is enormous!!)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Depending on shift, the employee has about three managers to report. This should be solved for many reasons. Front Office Manager is one of the best assets of the Hotel!

I have been working at Marriott full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great benefits, pto, insurance, pay is decent, low employee rates at other Marriotts, when given a write up or warning you have the option of peer review.

    Cons

Favoritism gets in the way of moving up in the company but that's anywhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give people who want training in other departments a chance or people who want to learn something new. Associates shouldnt have to pester upper managment for opportunities to grow.
