Current Employee - Night Auditor

I have been working at Marriott full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Benefits, is open 24 hours so you can work any shift, good place to move up in the business.

Cons

Like most jobs involving service this is a low paying job.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

An incentive program involving sales or upgrades would be nice. Not that it would be required, but if employees went the extra mile some type of reasonable compensation would be appreciated.

I worked at Marriott full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The people I worked with were great, the mojority would do anything to help if needed. There were loads of opportunities for training and to gain extra skills. The benefits were great. I thoroughly enjoyed working there!

    Cons

Can't think of any worth mentioning to be honest, they are not perfect no one company is.

I worked at Marriott as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    Young and energetic staff.
Human Resource is extremely fast and offers lots of training.
Senior management is often quite helpful with work-related issues.
A good number of days off in a month in comparison to other players in the hotel industry.

    Cons

    Long working hours at times.
The pay scale is low and employee retention rate is quite average too.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide career guidance to employees. Work harder at retaining employees than in replacing them. Promote deserving employees at a faster rate so that you don't end up losing them.
