Pros

The hotel discount is nice...if you can get it.

Cons

For what we do, the pay just isn't enough. We are the heart of the hotel, we have to deal with every guest and guess what, when something is wrong at the restaurant? They yell at us. When the event isn't go well? We have to fix it. The housekeepers didn't do their job? We hear about it. We need hazard pay for what we deal with.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay us more. We don't even get free food at my hotel, just cheap food....that the chef hasn't changed in years.

    lots of opportunities for advancement in company because of it's large size

    Cons

    management doesn't care about balancing work and personal life

    employees are just objects that are there to try and get money for the company

    no training or help with advancement

    find a balance between customer service and supporting your employees against abuse
