Great people make for an overall great company, but that's no longer enough.

Reporting & Analysis (Current Employee) Bethesda, MD

ProsAwesome people at all levels, smart, self-motivated and caring.

ConsWell, like any other company in the hotel industry: salaries are low, total benefits are mediocre. That's where the most cuts happen. It used to be a family-oriented company with awesome benefits that made up for the lower pay. Now it's becoming a regular US corporation with lower-than-average salaries (headquarters).

Advice to Senior ManagementIt's time to change your salary policy... at least for corporate positions. It's a new generation of workers out there: Smarter but more demanding and more competitive. We love this company because of all the great things it does - through us - but we're not part of our parents' generation that is static, loyal, thankful and humble. We know who we are and what we want. You will see less quarter-centurions than in the past because we are mobile, and we are ambitious. "I work for a great company" is no longer good enough.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at Marriott full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: Persons working there benefit from the knowledge of the staff… Cons: The work can get boring and robotic at times. There also seems to… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
