    Pros

    Plenty of room for advancement! Open communication with my managers at all times. Family-oriented company. Diverse team!

    Cons

    Not enough pay for certain positions and locations. People don't mind working their tails off to ensure ultimate guest satisfaction, but it wouldn't hurt to let your associates know that they are appreciated often. Don't wait until April or May to say 'thank you'. It's the little things that count!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    ASK THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT, AND ACTUALLY LISTEN!!!

    Before you implement a new idea or strategy, please test it out fully. Jobs have been lost due to the higher ups just tossing around ideas that 'might' work for the company, and a lot has been left to hang in the balance. ALSO, managers should be well-versed in ALL aspects of their department [i.e., OPERATIONS!]. I worked for a select-service property, and my I swear at times I knew more than my AGM. And considering how I usually took on more than my own responsibilities, it would have been nice to receive some small incentive as a way of saying thank you for going over and beyond for the team.
