I have been working at Marriott full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Stable job, didn't have to think, could put it on auto pilot and sleep through your work day.

    Cons

No passion, big box, they didn't like you to think; not forward thinking or cutting edge at all. Came up with the "white bedding package" about 2 years after the other hotel chains were doing it. Always late to the party. Everything has an SOP - even going away parties.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe it's time some of you retire and bring in some fresh, new, exciting ideas. Actually follow through on them, not just talk about them, then let them fizzle.
