I have been working at Marriott full-time

    Pros

Getting hook ups to almost any type of event in the city.

    Cons

The management sucks. The asst general manager is the only one who actually deserves her job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The gm should figure out a way to provide free breakfast, coffee, and parking so that the guests are happy versus blaming her staff. Also she should stop hiring friends and hire people who are actually able to lead a team in a positive, firm, and fair manner.

I worked at Marriott full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

There is a good kitchen to work in. The prep area is large and is well equipped. Company lunch's although you would be preparing them as well. F&B Manager is on top of things, he is tough but fair.

    Cons

Long Hours, but if you are working in hotel banquet/catering then this is understood. Raises are not forth coming or not at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the executive chef do his/her job ! Do not micro manage everything and things would go a lot smoother and turnover would be much less.
