Pros

International exposure, complexity and intellectural challenge definitely propelled my career. Firm is contributing to the advancement and debate of socail issues retirement, healthcare, risk mitigation to cover the unexpected...with all the natural catastrophes insured businesses (those that take risk advice) are able to recover and help communities to recover as well.

Cons

constant cost cutting distracting from growth investing

    Pros

Excellent benefits package, relaxed office environment, interesting colleagues. Local roles are limited but there are many opportunities to advance or move around in the company if you are willing to relocate.

    Cons

It is really up to the individual to push the envelope and get noticed in order to be given the opportunity to grow. The tools are available but a lot of personal effort is required in order to advance.

    Advice to Management

Continue to encourage colleagues to become involved. When hiring new colleagues, highlight the growth opportunities that are available and be sure to state plainly that most opportunities for advancement outside of supervisor/manager roles will require relocation. Figure out how to reduce the high turnover.
