I have been working at Marsh & McLennan Companies

    Pros

Marsh & McLennann has provided some great opportunities to work with some very experienced brokers. MMC Clients are very interesting.

    Cons

Management lack of recognition that staff are performing. There are some really great employees but the lack of recognition has a negative effect on performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management to actually interact and talk to staff about concerns. Management to action the concerns of employees versus saying we have listened to your concerns and nothing evolves.

I have been working at Marsh & McLennan Companies

    Pros

-There are many very intelligent people that you can learn a lot from.
    - Lots of resources and different positions/roles available (if your willing to move around).
    - Interesting clients to work for.

    Cons

-a few complete idiots in senior level positions and I have no idea how they have stuck around.
    -Insurance
    - Everything is about growth, if you want to be successful you need to be able to sell. Servicing employees are not valued as much as they once were. In fairness, it is a strong company which makes selling a good opportunity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The new sales focus is quickly killing the collaboration at this company.
