I have been working at Marshalls part-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great people and management, plenty of opportunity to do different things on the job. I was able to learn about and work in several different departments, throughout my time here.

Cons

Very little training, mostly expected to pick things up as they happen. There is also a lot of pressure to push the store credit card, which can be tough as a cashier.

I have been working at Marshalls part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Friendly co-workers. Misery loves company.

    Cons

Extremely low pay for the quality of work they expect.
    Rude managers and coordinators.
Messy patrons means a very messy store upon closing time.
No challenge, no product knowledge required which means you're of very little use to customers.
Disorganized, messy shelving system. Things are thrown everywhere.
Did I mention the extremely poor wages? This job is only suitable for HS kids.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't micro-manage. A monkey could do this job and its insulting to the intelligence of your workers. Be less rude, act as an example to others. Don't pick favorites and put forth a show of teamwork.
