I have been working at Marshalls part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people and management, plenty of opportunity to do different things on the job. I was able to learn about and work in several different departments, throughout my time here.

    Cons

Very little training, mostly expected to pick things up as they happen. There is also a lot of pressure to push the store credit card, which can be tough as a cashier.

I worked at Marshalls part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Love seeing all the interesting merchandise that comes through the warehouse.

    Cons

Temptation to spend half my paycheck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Issues with poor managers (i.e. managers who cause a large handful of staff to quit) should be addressed by the upper levels. Also, individual creativity should be encouraged more regularly.
