I have been working at Marshfield Clinic full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Excellent insurance benefits, can't be beat the medical benefits if you are ok seeing Marshfield Clinic medical providers. Good retirment benefit after two years. Fairly good PTO policy.

Cons

Wages freezes. Some managers are not friendly at all. Not sure how they ever became managers. What is the point of opinion surveys if nothing changes.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees and take action regarding issues. If someone is not doing their job, get rid of them. There are a lot of good people looking for jobs.

I worked at Marshfield Clinic full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, benefits and 4 weeks time off, can roll over an additional 5 days.

    Cons

In terms of the IS department, it is a lesson in worst practices in software development. The entire organization is bogged down by managers vying for advancement with little to no team interactions or cooperation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the upper management of IS. Bring in people who understand the software development process and are not afraid to hold the business to agreed requirements.
