Current Employee – been working at Marvell Technology

Pros – It is possible to work with a lot of different technologies. The facilities are good. The offices in Santa Clara are very nice. There is free food (breakfarst / lunch / dinner, fruit and snacks and there is a coffee bar). There is a positive atmosphere. It is a good place to be an engineer - the company is very engineering driven.

Cons – Managers play favorites. There are a lot of politics going on among management - a lot of blaming and finger pointing. Long hours are expected. The schedules are not realistic. You often will only get time to "get it done" not "do it right". The pay is below average. The benefits are average - it all depends how the stock is doing.

Advice to Senior Management – Find a way to make BUs/groups work together. Its hard to see how the company will scale to the next level if the founders need to be involved in every decision. Try to bring in more proffessional managers.
