Pros

It's a paycheck
Occasional flashes of brilliance

Cons

Lack of strategic direction
Heavily bureaucratic (driven by fear of upper management)
Very poor communication
Operational excellence is an oxymoron here
Paranoia and distrust run rampant

Accept your own inherent limitations and hire a world class executive team that can drive operational excellence.

    Good experience with local group but not much hope for Sr. Management

    I have been working at Marvell Technology

    Pros

    Good exposure to cutting-edge technology. Decent IT and Facilities support. Opportunity to work with technically accomplished Engineers.

    Cons

    Senior Management is tone-deaf to both employees concerns and business concerns. Sr. Management pretends to value employee input but openly dismisses questions and concerns. They are always behind the curve in coming to market and are chasing other competitors all the time. Sr. Management has "can-do" attitude but these leads to unrealistic projects that extend indefinitely without any reasonable prospect to make revenue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop assuming that you know it all and get some humility. Bring in some business leaders with good long-term vision to run the company and do what you are good at - Engineering solutions.
