I have been working at Massage Envy part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The hours are short and holidays the establishment is closed.

    Cons

They have no accountability. Raises are few and far between. Management is rude and unprofessional. They don't care about the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize it is the massage therapist that pay your salaries. Give them good health insurance. Maternity leave should be paid and given without question. All work performed online and or meetings need to be paid.

I worked at Massage Envy part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

As a sales associate (front desk), I found interaction with customers, often, to be very rewarding. The benefits of working here are that you get to have free monthly massages, which can be awesome. This helps you to be able to recommend certain therapists.

    Cons

The company doesn't seem to care much about the salaries of its employees and the "commission" is only $12 per sale. Since many people find that the membership is pointless, it can often be difficult to get memberships sold.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would advise management to either lessen the workload or to pay their front desk employees more. Doing all of the care for the clinic plus all of the administrative work at the front of house can make things very difficult.
