Pros

Prestige of their brand. Fast paced and highly quality focused environment. Pleasant guest interaction. Very fast to react to changes and challenges.

Cons

The culture of the company is changing from what the Mastro family had started. Becoming more and more run from the FOH.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remain focused on the in house preparation of your product. Remember that this company grew as a partnership of front and back of the house.

    Pros

    The pros - The money is fantastic. It's a part time job with full time pay. The guests are great too.

    Cons

    The cons- favoritism, hostile work environment, bullying, harassing behavior from management, corruption, always walking on eggshells whether you're part of the "in" crowd or not. It's like being on the show Survivor...make sure you have an alliance with as many people as possible!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't promote from within and if you do, transfer from the original store.

    I worked at Mastro's Steakhouse full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Great product, beautiful restaurant. Busy with a high check average.

    Cons

    Managers treat you like a number, not a human being. They tell you that employees should treat each other as well as we treat guests. It's a lie. They either like you or they don't. You can ace every test, always be on time, perfect uniform, outstanding guest comments.....doesn't matter. If they don't like you, they never will and you'll never know why. Terrible employment experience.

    Stop paying lip service to your company ideals and practice what you preach
