The people are fun, smart and passionate about their work. The products are important and interesting. The core values are relevant; we don't always live up to them but we usually try. The company is a good citizen in terms of the local and global communities.
Cons
Some parts of the organization have a better culture than others, and some sr staff have more awareness of and higher standards for their organizations than others. If you don't get the culture you'll miss out on opportunities, won't have much fun, and may not be successful.
Advice to Senior Management
1 You're excellent at what you do, but people besides yourselves are talented and trustworthy. Stay engaged and detail-oriented, but find ways to delegate authority so you can avoid being the bottleneck. It's risky to let others make decisions, and it's more risky to make them all yourselves.
2) Pay attention to the culture around work-life balance. This issue gets a lot of discussion, more than you may realize.
