I have been working at Mattel

Pros

The people are great, half day Fridays, and benefits are good.

Cons

Slow to promote or rarely promote. Quick to add on to the work load without praise for what has already been taken on and completed through tough time lines and demands. Poor training as well- learn by trial and error.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the employees that are quiet but are doing outstanding work without complaining- Promote them not the loud mouths.

I have been working at Mattel

    Pros

Learn to think on the fly and improvise with store managers while bringing stock onto the floor.
Work alongside supervisor is mixed with days on your own.

    Cons

Fine way to earn some cash as a community college student although you'll need to have scheduled night classes in order to work for Mattel in the daytime. Patience is required when the workload is split up between more associates than are really needed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Constant communication with corporate through email updates. Corporate is smart about confidentiality and they along with the supervisors are professional and passionate.
