I worked at Mayo Clinic full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

The general policy is to make sure staff are successful. The highest level leadership follows through supporting the mission statement of the needs of the patients come first. They have tremendous resources they employ in alignment to support the mission. With over 34,000 employees in Rochester, there are tremendous networking opportunities with specialists in a wide variety of skill areas.

Cons

The weather is cold in the winter and can get humid hot in the summer.

No advice. Excellent deployment of resources to support the mission.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Have more follow-through. Don't encourage furthering ones education as a way to advance at Mayo and do nothing to assist in that advancement. Seems to be more interested in finding talend outside of mayo instead of advancing from within.
