Pros

Great Benifits, Family to work - 8 and out

Cons

Zero Training. HR is in California and does not participate AT ALL in Flat Rock unless they have to.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Engage more with the employees and try not to be so arrogant

    benefit package on par with other auto manufacturers

    Incompetency of Regional Staff - specifically GM's

    Need to do some house cleaning at regional levels; some seriously incompetent people working there.

    Cliquish environment. Managers emphasize team competition over cooperation. But cool benefits though.

    I worked at Mazda North American Operations

    Pros

    Car allowance is great. B level employees get $550/month to use for lease of up to three vehicles. 'C' level employees get $650/month. Any money left over from the allowance is added to your paycheck.
    Great medical and dental benefits.
    Fitness benefit of $300 per year can be used to buy bicycles or for gym memberships.
    Very good looking cars.

    Cons

    Easy to plateau in your position and reach a career dead end.
    Absolutely NO diversity among senior management and executive team.
    Horrible food in the cafeteria.
    Very cliquish environment. If you're not in the "right" clique your career advancement opportunities are slim.
    The company refuses to support progressive fuel economy standards and deliver more fuel efficient vehicles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't pit employees against each other. Use employees respective talents to build well rounded teams. Forcing team members to compete creates unnecessary tension.
