Current Employee – been working at McAfee full-time for more than a year
Pros – Fairly relaxed environment for engineers with stocked pantries.
Innovation wise, they let you do what you want, but on your own time. People are open to new POCs and suggestions. You can work independently and management do not micro manage.
Cons – Below average pay range for engineers in the valley.
Senior management are resistant to change. Thankfully, new architects and PMs recognize issues of change resistance.
A few of the engineers here can't really work independently, thus constant hand holding becomes part of your job scope.
Advice to Senior Management – Embrace change. Be radical about it. Try unproven methods.
