“Getting paid poor wages to feed people "food," if you can call it that.”
Current Employee – been working at McDonald's part-time for less than a year
Pros – My coworkers are generally friendly, even if they can barely speak English.
The pay could be worse; at least I'm not working on tips.
Cons – Some of the rules are ridiculous; even if you are only working the window, you can't sit on the stool in there or you'll get yelled at. Again, its all Spanish, so I have no idea what they're saying, but it is annoying to spend 7-12 hours standing in one place.
Not to mention, working fast food will ruin you on fast food for the rest of your life.
Advice to Senior Management – There needs to be more attention to who the independent franchises are hiring; apparently, my particular store has actually gotten reported to corporate for not having English speaking employees.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
