I have been working at McDonald's part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

So this was my first job that I had ever had, while I certainly would not want it to be my last I felt that it provided me a good opportunity to enter into the work force.

    Cons

The worse thing about working in fast food is the smell of grease when you come home from work. It makes want to immediately take a bath.

    I worked at McDonald's full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The crew you work with are usually friendly, you will learn a lot about business with hands on training

    Cons

There is no work-life balance- the upper management frowns upon you calling in for sickness, taking time off for family, etc. The only way you are getting promoted is by brown-nosing those above you who can promote. The education level of co-workers are very poor, the salary management is very rude and inconsiderate of those schedules that conflict with their own.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember it is your people that make or break you. When making promises about promotion, follow through with those promises. Promote those that would truly make a difference and are honest, not those that you just like.
