    Pros

    access to client firm decision makers - willing to engage consultants and consulting projects based upon quantified ROI and proven past results.

    Cons

    Favored sons were promoted and placed in leadership roles where their lack of experience and people skills diffused the focus and energy necessary to maximize revenue and profitability goals. Insufficient focus on internal development of non accountant consulting staff.

    Advice to Management

    Fund the business, support practice line growth with your checkbook, provide qualified staff to complete projects (not underutilized/benched tax staff) or get out of the business.
