I have been working at McKesson Medical-Surgical

    Pros

good benefits, salary and working conditions. Tough to get hired and difficult to get fired. Strong training and generous bonus program for management. Like most places, working here can be great if you get a good boss and miserable if you get the wrong one.

    Cons

After great training and spending huge sums of money, they seemed to be at a loss as to how to utilize their new resource. Human resources leaves a lot to be desired. I'm still not sure what they do since everything is done online. Decisions are sometimes made about your career without your input.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop worrying about the stock price and get back to building the business.

I have been working at McKesson Medical-Surgical

    Pros

Benefits are great and colleagues are decent people. McKesson is an industry leader in their field and has been recognized for this achievement.

    Cons

Incompetent leadership, lack of respect from management to employees. Pay is not competitve and has been an issue for years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Watch who you let get into positions of authority. I am seeing a situation where two people have gotten a taste of authority and now it has caused some issues. Leave the arrogance and pride behind and exercise some humility by listening to the people that do the jobs day in and day out. Morale in our dept is low, but people are afraid to look elsewhere because of the economy. It is interesting that we have also seen an exodus of tenured sales people recently and no one seems too concerned. Do not drive the good people away with poor leadership!
