I worked at McKesson full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Well-managed company ranked 14 on Fortune 500. Generates a lot of cash, which fuels frequent acquisitions. Talented, deep leadership. Great execution in its core pharma distribution business.

Cons

Somewhat boring, low-margin business but with $130 billion in revenue, it does add up. As a B2B business, it's the biggest company no one's heard of. CEO's pay is ridiculously high.

    I worked at McKesson full-time

    Pros

Flex hours, generous PTO, casual dress

    Cons

Flagrant favoritism, constant backstabbing, low pay, dead end job, they do not promote from within, incompetent management. Management participates in gossip as much as low-level employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really listen to your employees and not just the "chosen" that have their own agenda.

I have been working at McKesson full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexible hours (if your Manager cooperates)
    Casual Dress

    Cons

    Jobs are being off-shored
Horrible pay unless you are John Hammergren CEO
    Horrible working conditions
Inexpensive health benefits BUT with HUGE deductibles/co-insurance, and to get a discount, you literally have to give blood and be subjected to other medical tests
Communication is non-existent and management refuses to listen to their employees. The so-called open door policy is a joke. You can escalate to the top to no avail.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To John Hammergren...Share the wealth. Making millions each year and boasting about how many billions that McKesson makes to those barely making a living is insulting.
