Advice to Management

Senior management should pay better attention to how their managers are performing as managers Senior management should pay more attention to how long projects take to get completed, see if they ever get completed, and monitor whether those that get completed actually work.

I have been working at McKesson full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Reasonable PTO, good insurance programs, internal job postings, current manager is supportive, multiple locations for HQs and remote work possiblities.

    Cons

Low diversity - mostly mid aged white men in executive positions, few women or people of color in any real executive impact, yearly restructuring, high value on cost cutting

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

In this market it's nice to have a paycheck.

    Cons

Old school IT thought process. Lack of communication everywhere: upper management, lower management, cross functioning teams. Everything is focused on cost cutting, but management does not want to hear from rank and file other ways of cost cutting. Forget about trying to implement change. No assistance on public transit, no cafeteria, no gym for new employees. Companies a lot smaller have more to offer their employees.
