    I have been working at McLane Company full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Good people. HR spend time finding the right people

    Cons

    Hours, I worked at McLane for 9 months as a supervisor. I was promised no more than 50hrs a week. I averaged 60-70 a week. Pay is below average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay your people. Give them time off.

    I have been working at McLane Company full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Pay is comparable
    Fellow employees are great!

    Cons

    Management is out of touch with day to day operations
    Shifts are unfair with seniority lists
    System does not work half the time
    Department supervisors have little experience with distribution
    Hours are never consistent
    Automatic induction is a failure
    The company does not care enough about the employees and their families
    Layout of the entire bullding is wrong, wrong, wrong.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Change your shift schedules to really meet the needs of your business coninciding with employees.
    Stop lying to the employees
    Admit when you are wrong and listen more to the people who actually do the work.
