Pros

Benefits, benefits, benefits. Pays pretty well. You work with some cool people.

Cons

If you are not hired into the management development role, you pretty much have no opportunity for career advancement. There are lots of lateral "promotions" but the chance for vertical promotions is pretty much non-existent. Many of the managers are managers because they went to college at a prestigious school, not because they know how to manage people or a company. Lots of micromanagement.

Advice to Management

I think that there are people with the experience and demonstrated ability should have the opportunity for vertical advancement with the company. Should not be based on what school you went to, but on merit, hard work, and the demonstrated ability to excel. No one position should be unattainable based on where you began with the company.

    Pros

AWESOME pay and benefits, especially for the simple work.

    Cons

You will EARN every penny. The jobs are very physical and tedious (boring!) and management treats you like a machine, not a person.

    Advice to Management

It's not all about the money. You will retain your employees if you show respect and offer more diversified roles.
